The flags were certainly flying yesterday at the ANZAC Day service in Bega during wet and windy conditions.  Earlier in the week, I happened to come across this small article from the Bega Standard published on 28 January 1919. The flags were flying 93 years ago when Private Leslie Spindler, a local ANZAC, received a warm welcome home to Bega.
